Easier Filtering & Safer Custom Data Handling

Whippy’s advanced filters just got more powerful—and more reliable.

You can now filter faster, smarter, and safer with “In” and “Not In” logic for text fields, restored support for Custom Objects in filters, and auto-disabled misconfigured data resources. This means better targeting, cleaner results, and less risk of broken workflows.

What’s New

1. “In” & “Not In” Filtering for Text Fields

You can now include or exclude multiple values in your filters without using complex logic.

Examples:

  • Candidate Status IN [Open, Pending]
  • Region NOT IN [APAC, LATAM]

Works great with common text fields like Name, Email, Region, and Status.

2. Custom Objects Restored in Advanced Filters

Custom data types like Jobs, Assignments, and others now appear again when building filters—so you can confidently narrow results using all your custom fields.

3. Safer Custom Resource Handling

If a Custom Object isn’t fully configured, Whippy will now automatically disable the resource until it’s fixed—preventing broken filters or invalid results.

You can review and fix these from your Custom Object Settings.

Why This Matters

These updates give teams:

  1. check

More precise control when filtering records in sequences, automations, and dashboards

  2. check

Error-proof filtering, especially when working with incomplete or evolving data models

  3. check

Access to custom fields that were previously hidden—unlocking richer targeting and reporting

Whether you’re segmenting outreach, refining reports, or powering dynamic automations, these changes help you get the right data—faster.

How to Use the New Filters

1. Open the filter builder

2. Select a text field (e.g., Email, Region, Status)

3. Choose In or Not In

4. Add one or more values to match or exclude

Done! Your records update in real time.

Ideal For:

  • Recruiters filtering candidates by multiple statuses
  • Admins excluding regions or tags in outreach
  • CS teams applying segmentation logic across custom fields
  • Builders using Custom Objects to power advanced workflows
